I have been using Drupal for 18 months now. Before that I built many sites using Mambo/Joomla, and for my sins now need to maintain some of them. Every time I do any work on a website in Joomla I become frustrated and angry - it's like swimming in syrup: hard work and no progress (yet everybody assures you that it is fun).
What grates me further is that some potential clients of mine have fallen for the syrupy-sweet sales talk and smoke and mirrors surrounding Joomla and other CMSes that just cannot deliver the way Drupal can.
So, every time I edit one of these pathetic sites (where more often than not Joomla has run out of steam long before the client has fulfilled their vision) I promise myself I am going to write this. So, here it is:
